About REACT

REACT is a direct response to the increasing animosity toward the LGBTQIA community in the wake of the latest presidential election. The current administration and their supporters have launched a very palpable campaign of misinformation and hate toward the queer community. REACT is a protest of this wanton hate. By continuing to express the pride, love, beauty, and joy that we find in our everyday lives, the queer community refuses to wane, let alone disappear.

REACT currently serves those in the LGBTQIA community who live and learn in non-urban Pennsylvania. Our goal is to eventually expand to serve every non-urban area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, offering a voice to some who may feel as if they currently have no outlet.

We will be publishing four online quarterly issues: Summer (Pride), Autumn (Abundance), Winter (Rest) and Spring (Renewal). We also plan on publishing an in-print annual featuring some of the more impactful and important pieces.

As our publication grows, our website will grow and evolve to adapt to the needs of both the journal and our community. We have already planned the addition of a QUEER NEWS tab as well as a RESOURCES tab (which will be added soon.)
